Lovely Site

What a lovely site this is. Cherry the owner, makes sure you have all you need. She pops up every day for a chat and catch up & is always full of interesting ideas of where you can go. There is fresh water, EHU & waste disposal. Beautiful views across the fields. Lots of footpaths straight from site, so bring you walking boots. We were very lucky with the weather which made the stay even better. One small point, the flight path from Standsted Airport is above and it can get a bit noisy at times. But that didn't stop us thoroughly enjoying our stay. Thank you Cherry and family.

Stone House Farm - Delightful

Just spent 3 nights at this delightful non facilities site. The site is situated just off the A120 about 2.5 miles from Bishop Stortfort. Entry to site is straightforward. The site has all the waste points, EHU and fresh water. We enjoyed lovely country views and although Stansted airport isn’t far away noise wasn’t a particular problem. Planes stopped flying from about 11pm to nearly 7am. Lots to see and do in the area including the NT’s Hatfield Forest which we used for a family meet up. The site owners kindly allowed us to bring our grandtwins to site to see their 7 Alpacas, thank you Pitch number 5 has some shade all day

A Gem of a Site

I can only echo everything that earlier reviewers have said about the welcome received and the qualities of the site . My wife and I are just back from a 3 night stay and as we packed up my wife said "it is a pity we have to go home today". We can also recommend a stroll down to the Nags Head pub following the map thoughtfully provided by the owners.

Perfect for our quick visit to Stortford!

Only our second CL site and another lovely welcome to a well kept site. We were visiting family in Gt Dunmow and also checked out a few old haunts in Stortford (born here and up from Bristol). Mrs Mardell gave us a great rundown of the facilities and the area and our stay was as we wished ......very peaceful! We'll certainly look you up when we come this way again! Thank you! Wonderful Couple and Extreemly Accomadating.

Mr & Mrs Mardell really are the most lovely couple that you would wish meet and stay with at their lovely secluded camp site. Stone House Farm is only 80 miles from us and after using the site as a try out for our first trip in a caravan in 2014 we have returned 8 times. Which says it all. Extremely accommodating, understanding, helpful, keenly interested in Campers needs. Very Pet friendly, fully respectful of Campers privacy. The Facilities are excellent, The electric connection is more than adequate. We have Heating, Microwave, Hot Water, Cooker, Shower. TV, Computers, you name it all running without hitch. Very easy reach to London. There is a Rail Link to London at Bishops Stortford, Ware, and Epping. Bishops Stortford is a lovely Shopping Town. If you like Antiques there is the Sawbridgeworths Antiques Centre not 30 Minuets away. Many Public Footpaths to Little Hadham, Much Hadham, with the village of Church End nearby. This part of Hertfordshire needs visiting to be appreciated. With Albury, all the Pellem's and Villages beyond the scenery is endless. My Wife and I could not recommend their Site more Highly. We shall return time and time again. John and Betty Ansell
