We've stayed twice at this CL, once for an overnight stop-over en-route south, the second time for a week to visit the NEC. It is possible to do some decent walks from the site using the lanes off the A5 to access the canal in particular, and it isn't far to drive to Cannock Chase where the world is a walker's oyster. The pub is excellent. The pitches furthest from the gate can get a tad boggy in wet weather. Care is required leaving the site due to fast traffic on the A5 and not brilliant sight-lines (the 40 mph restriction is generally ignored). We didn't find traffic noise a problem, however.
