A lovely site but….

We stayed at the site recently for 4 nights having been for the last 2 years. The gent meeting us was really friendly, charming, and engaging. We were allocated a pen as we had a dog which again is a big plus for the site. However it was much smaller then previous. The one next to us was much larger and reserved but only from the next night and we then only used for 2 nights before being empty again so ideally we could have been given that pen? There were some sheep running wild and the owners were waiting for the farmer but it was fun. Throughout our stay there were only 2 other visitors which again was surprising for first week in summer holidays and it had been really busy for the last 2 years so was really lacking in any atmosphere. Having researched other CLs in that area plus a large radius this was the most expensive site. Prices have gone up again by 25% and with no facilities we have to question the value. Rather than stick a negative post - as we put in a really positive one in the past, we emailed Pam and to her absolute credit she responded in a polite, professional manner. It will be sad to see the site closed in the future and moved to holiday homes for disabled but folllowing dreams and passions is what life is all about. So in summary, it remains lovely but is too expensive with no atmosphere.
