Beautiful Site

We have just returned from a week long stay at this beautiful site. The owners are very friendly and maintain the site to a high standard. Large well maintained pitches, with all amenities close to hand. The site is perfect for visiting Criccieth, Porthmadog, Portmeirion, Beddgelert, Caernarfon and many more lovely villages and towns. We saw the ospreys nesting at the nearby Glaslyn Wildlife Centre, took the nearby West Highland Railway steam train, visited the stunning Oriel Plas Glyn Y-Weddw centre and climbed to see The Tin Man overlooking Llanbedrog beach and bay. The site offers excellent value for money and we would love to return. Recommend very highly. M Slack

A very nice and well kept site

A very tidy site, grass pitches and very well drained. Pam and Gary very welcoming and helpful. We were in the field next to the road, a huge pitch and we were allowed to pitch any way we liked. The site is handy for exploring the Llyn and Portmadoc areas. 25 minute walk down to the beach, partly on the main road but there is a good path. There’s a nice pub in the village serving good food. Portmeirion is a must if you are visiting the area. And the Ospreys too. The only downside was the road noise during the day, ok if inside, but quite noisy outside. But overall a great CL.

Nice view of the sea, friendly welcome and while no hard standing the pitches were fine despite heavy Oct rain

We had a friendly welcome from Gary who showed us our pitch …. We could have had our pick as were we the only ones there for 3 nights. The pitches are fenced which is great for dog owners if busy. The ground is level and drains well and so very easy to pitch up and settle down. Water and power on each MH pitch. Lovely view of the sea… some road noise if outside the MH but inside we had no idea. The walk to the beach OK but requires some busy road.

A lovely site but….

We stayed at the site recently for 4 nights having been for the last 2 years. The gent meeting us was really friendly, charming, and engaging. We were allocated a pen as we had a dog which again is a big plus for the site. However it was much smaller then previous. The one next to us was much larger and reserved but only from the next night and we then only used for 2 nights before being empty again so ideally we could have been given that pen? There were some sheep running wild and the owners were waiting for the farmer but it was fun. Throughout our stay there were only 2 other visitors which again was surprising for first week in summer holidays and it had been really busy for the last 2 years so was really lacking in any atmosphere. Having researched other CLs in that area plus a large radius this was the most expensive site. Prices have gone up again by 25% and with no facilities we have to question the value. Rather than stick a negative post - as we put in a really positive one in the past, we emailed Pam and to her absolute credit she responded in a polite, professional manner. It will be sad to see the site closed in the future and moved to holiday homes for disabled but folllowing dreams and passions is what life is all about. So in summary, it remains lovely but is too expensive with no atmosphere.

Beautifully maintained site, very friendly owners

Lovely site, impeccably kept and with very friendly owners. We especially like the dog compounds, which made life a lot easier: we could just let the dogs out of the motorhome without having to tie them up. Very pleasant little dog walk round the field. Will definitely be back.

Great place to stay

We stayed at Swn Y Mor for 4 nights in June in our Motorhome. The site is easy to find and access and the fenced pitch was perfect to let our dog run around in safety. We received a warm welcome from Pam with good advice about the local area, including the best local chippy! The nearby beach was easy to find and almost deserted. All in all it’s a great place to relax or be as active as you want. I’d definitely recommend it.

Fab site - esp the pens

Stayed here in 2020 and loved the pens esp being dog owners so requested one this July and we’re able to book. These also had water points and were of really decent size. Having the pens enabled the door to be left open and the fog to be safe. Owners were new and really friendly and accommodating. Great site and the ornaments and quirks make this unique.. The site is great to get about snd explore the area. Def one to return to.

Peaceful short break

We spent a very enjoyable four nights here. Owners very welcoming and friendly. Roy even fitted a screwlock onto our towbar to safely attach our breakaway cable to! We had a couple of walks along the coast there with stunning views over to the Harlech coastline. Grounds very well maintained with mown grass and clean facilities. Freeview TV reception very good.

What a wonderful week!

Lovely part of N Wales with stunning scenery twinned with the beautiful sunny weather what more could we have asked for. The site was clean and tidy and social distancing was catered for in the size and location of pitches. The facilities were more than enough and our hosts made us feel very welcome and were most helpful. All being well we are seriously considering a stay next year if Covid allows.
