Lovely peaceful site

Terfyn Mawr is a fantastic little site tucked away in spectacular Welsh countryside with uninterrupted views to the coast. Our excellent hosts, Hazel and Gerald, were very welcoming and provided very useful information about the area. Lovely clean facilities on site and very spacious pitches. We will definitely be returning as soon as possible.

Amazing site and very welcoming and helpful

Gerald and Hazel met us on arrival with a very warm welcome and showed us around the site and where everything was. The site is immaculately kept and the field which was more like a bowling green was very firm even though we had 3days and nights of constant rain and storms. Nothing was too much trouble for Gerald and Hazel and when the rain stopped and I decided to put my awning up Gerald must have seen me as he was going about his daily work and came to help me put it up. The shower and toilet room was also immaculately clean and very spacious, it also had all local information and attractions and even a large selection of books that you could borrow or exchange. The pitch was almost perfectly level, very spacious and had amazing uninterrupted views. So glad that we stayed here and will definitely be back again. Gerald and Hazel are constantly working and on hand to help in any way that they can. They are always working on the site and looking to improve it in any way that they can, if that is at all possible! Thank you both for an amazing stay and we look forward to returning in the future.

Peace and tranquillity guaranteed!

An extremely warm welcome from Gerald and Hazel. They could not do anymore during our week stay to make us feel welcome. Any problems and they will help you to sort them out - eg recharging my leisure battery. Pitch was very spacious and adequate for our caravan, awning and two dogs. Views are spectacular. Toilet/ shower is immaculate. Great base for visiting local towns and beaches. One of my favourite sites - has everything you need. Wish the site was closer to home so we could visit more often! Thank you for a great stay.

Our New Number One CL

What a find! Despite only being opened earlier this year, this CL is fantastic. The views are fantastic and the pitches laid out so you can make the most of the countryside and the sea at Cardigan Bay. Added extras are WiFi (with a designated hotspot and the best views) and a shower and toilet, which were so spotlessly clean. The grass pitches were really well cut and felt like carpet under your feet, a blessing in the heat we had, during our stay. Gerald and Hazel are fantastic hosts and a wealth of information, nothing was too much bother. This is top of our list of CLs and we WILL definately be back (probably arranging our trips around this one!). Thank you for our great stay, sorry it wasn't longer - if we hadn't already booked another we'd still be there!

Friendly and tranquil

From booking the site to leaving after our stay we couldn’t have been made more welcome nothing was too much trouble for Gerald and Hazel. They went out of their way to help everyone no matter what their needs were The directions they gave us were very clear and helpful no problem even in our 9 metre motorhome The site was very well maintained and everything was spotless. The shower room was large plenty of space to put your clothes to keep dry , the water pressure was good, no time limit on the shower. ( it didn’t turn off until you had finished and turned if off ) The views are outstanding. EHU is 10amp but wasn’t a problem The nearest shops are in Newcastle Emlyn. All pitches are on grass but are firm didn’t really levelling ramps. Access onto the site was good. This is most definitely a site to put at the top of your list to stay if you are going to visit this part of Wales

The best campsite we have stayed in!

Gerald & Hazel’s CL is the most wonderful place to stay. They are such a lovely helpful couple, nothing is too much trouble. They gave us lots of information about the area & even sites to move on to. The bathroom facilities are excellent. It is such a tranquil location with the most wonderful views. We would definitely stay again.

Beautifully kept CL in peaceful surroundings.

We are so glad we found this gem of a CL, which is situated in a gorgeous spot in the Carmarthenshire countryside. If you are after peace & quiet, nature, views & stunning sunsets, this is the place for you. Hazel and Gerald are very friendly and welcoming and the facilities are kept spotlessly clean. We plan to return again very soon!

A lovely secluded CL with great views

We stayed here for just two nights, would have stayed longer but had to get back home for something. The site is in a lovely quiet location, at the top of a hill so the views are outstanding, and the site is absolutely flat so no levelling needed. The excellent toilet and shower are brand new. The chemical disposal facility is also excellent. The owners are helpful and friendly. We would absolutely recommend this site, provided you don't need EHU. The approach road from Newcastle Emlyn is steep and narrow, no problem for us in a motorhome when we had to reverse, but possibly if you're in a caravan you could speak to the owners as there is a less steep approach.
