After many years of visiting this village and this pub we have just spent 8 nights on the CL. We arrived a little early on out first day and were given a warm welcome in the Pub and check in was simple and we chose our pitch. Although the site is between a pub and a public footpath it is not particularly noisy and once the hedge has grown further I would imagine there will be even less impact from the path. The shower and Loo were always clean and the shower in particular was of a very good standard. This lovely little CL is also a huge bargain at just £10 per night, especially considering it's proximity to Coniston Water and also the village (a walk that you can do without touching the road). The food in the pub is excellent and they are also very dog friendly. There is no EHU, but don't let this put you off, give it a try! We will be back next year.
