Hidden gem
We spend 2 nights at this CL site and after having read some of the previous reviews was somewhat concerned but our experience was extremely positive.
The site is easy to find and access through a very secure keypad controlled gate, upon arrival David greeted us with the pin code and directed us to all the facilities and was very welcoming. We found our preferred pitch on the site which is flat, very spacious and a really nice open green space in the middle, all the grass areas were well kept. As previous reviews have stated there are a couple of long term visitors but they were on a separate area and really have no idea why this should/would bother anyone ?!
Others have moaned about the planes ? we actually found watching them fly over really interesting and the noise was in no way obtrusive. There was some road noise but again not obtrusive and very quiet later in the evening.
OK I would say the toilet block was on the basic side and would benefit from a little TLC but was perfectly adequate especially for a CL site.
In summary I would say this is a hidden gem of a site, perfectly located for local exploring, basic but great value for money at £20 a night. We will likely return.
