We arrived 1 hour early on Good Friday and were allowed to go to our pitch, Nice large hard standing pitches with mature trees around the field, perfect for children as it is enclosed and a long way from the road. Lovely dog walking areas too. The pub has some nice cask ales on offer and serves some very nice sized portions of food and not expensive either. The site is in a perfect location as you can quite easily head for, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough, Filey or Bridlington. Pickering is a nice town with Co Op and Lidl supermarkets and plenty of take aways and tea rooms. You can take a Steam train ride from Pickering Station up to Grosmont and visit where Heartbeat was filmed or go all the way to Whitby. Once we had paid on arrival and directed to our pitch this is the last time we saw the owners apart from in the pub on a night. I'd definitely rate this site at 10/10. Each pitch was level and had EHU and picnic bench too, There is 1 fresh water tap on site and chemical toilet disposal point and plenty of dustbins and if you want you can pay a £5 deposit and have a key and exclusive use to the toilet near to the pub. We will definitely be returning to this site.
