Fantastic stay

We had a fantastic couple of nights staying on this beautiful site. Very easy to find and a lovely welcome from Linda. It’s only a mile to ironbridge so we had a lovely walk there, where there are lovely shops and plenty of places to eat and drink. We’ve looking forward to returning very soon. A big thank you to Linda and her lovely family for making us so welcome.

Great stay

Stayed here last week with my wife and six-year-old. Nice easy access to the site. Lovely views across the local countryside. There was a gate to go through where the cows live and had a wander through there. Great hospitality from Linda and her family. Will definitely return in the future. Thanks very much.

A Very Pleasantly placed CL for Ironbridge and Area

The situation is, as stated, excellent for getting to Ironbridge, a place that anyone interested in our Industrial Heritage should visit at least once. Buses stop outside or nearby the entrance.Much Wenlock is only about 3 miles away. Ask the owner for details. If you just need shops then a short walk downhill to Broseley centre will find a Spar and various local shops. There is a Co-Op at the far end of the small town. Access to the site could be awkward if you do not follow the advice given by the owner. The third photo shows a barn and you should enter via the right hand side of it, not the left, as seen from the road. Generally access is fine and the CL is through a metal gate. The pitches consist of 2 on Grass, seen in the first 2 photos, the middle one sits on some hardstanding and the first 2 that you come across are hardstanding. Gaps between the first three are not huge but the 2 grass ones seem better. The metal gate shown in the sixth photo gives you access to dog walking land. Plus you can walk from here to Benthall N.T. property about 1 kilometre away. The site has a 6' hedge to the south and open views to the north and as it sits quite high up is a pleasant one in good weather. The emptying point for both Elsan and Waste Water are down the same grid, accessed by lifting the metal lid (2 long handles provided to help you) next to the bungalow. Water and bins and near the entrance gate and a small information hut is also provided. A couple of picnic tables are also provided. At £14 per night it was an acceptable stop for a few nights.

Lovely weekend

Very peaceful place and friendly owners. Good view across fields, towards Ironbridge, (minus the bridge), and relatively flat for ease of setting up Will defiantly visit again, we were kindly allowed to stay on for the day on Sunday as our pitch was free. Thank you for your hospitality.

This area is a real surprise!

This was perfect for us, just a mile from Ironbridge, where we'd bought a passport to visit the museums. Blists Hill Victorian Village is a must. We also did a couple of walks, one from Ironbridge (6 miles), and a wonderful ten miler from the site, where we had lunch in Much Wenlock. Glad we bought the bikes, because there's an off-road cycling track from Iron Bridge to Bridgnorth - 20 miles in total. A bit rough in places, but wonderful nevertheless. There's three pubs at the Ironbridge end. As for the site, there's a hard standing area, and the rest is grassed, which is regularly cut. The owner's son and daughter were pleasant and helpful. The site is high up with views across to the Ironbridge gorge. It's a ten minute walk into the centre of Brosely where there's a number of small shops, fish & chips, and a lovely coffee shop. We will be returning, as we still need to visit some of the museums...

Lovely friendly site, perfect location

Linda came out to greet us, such a friendly family, extremely helpful. Site was a perfect location for walking into Ironbridge, it was like stepping back in time, museums, independent shops and lovely cafes/tea rooms. The views from the site were amazing, the site being extremely peaceful and a short walk into the local village Broseley, which had a good selection of shops, butchers, supermarkets. We spent a thoroughly enjoyable 2 weeks at The Leopard, and was very sad to leave.

Peace and Tranquility

After Cirencester Club site this was a haven of peace and tranquility. Basic amenities but all we needed, kind and generous hosts. Plenty of walking accessible directly from the site and cycle paths/bridlepaths we would like to explore another time. You can walk off road down through fields and woods partly along the Shropshire Way to Ironbridge or take the shorter walk by the road. The site is at the top of the hill so the walk or cycle back up is a workout (ebike recommended!). There is a breeze up at the site which was very welcome in the hot weather we had, might be a bit wild at other times of the year. If like me you are a weather watcher this is a great place to observe those weather fronts rolling in. Definitely a place we would like to revisit.

lovely site and a warm welcome

what a lovely welcome, even in the rain. a real pleasure to be shown where everything is, which includes the very thoughtful and helpful information shed. there are a couple of picnic tables to use to admire the countryside views. there is a bus stop right at the site (which is itself easily accessible). not many buses but good enough to visit Telford or Much Wenlock or places inbetween (timetables in information booth). fresh water and cdp are both handy. all the pitches, grass and hardstanding come with ehu if required. Ironbridge is 1.5m away, walkable with a footpath albeit narrow in places and downhill on the way there. stop at the toll house museum when you get there (free entry). several coffee shops, pubs and shops to see too. as the weather was bad we choose to get the bus back (easiest place is in the car park at the far end of town, where you will also find the tourist info). got off bus in Broseley to get a few essentials and a bit more exercise walking up the hill to the site. even in the worst weather (monsoon type rain for most of our stay) we have felt welcomed and enjoyed our relaxing visit. PS if you are lucky you may get a greeting from Kenneth the black cat too.
