Stunning little find

This is our third visit to The Stables, we are always warmly welcomed by the owner and the stable girls. This quite and tranquil gem of a site has beautiful views and within a 2 minute walk The Queens Head public house with great food and friendly atmosphere. There is also an Indian and small shop in the village for all your needs. Historical Maldon is a 15 minute drive away or you can visit Tiptree famous for its wonderful jam. Our daughter had a wonderful weekend and took full advantage of the riding school with a couple of well priced riding lessons which she loved. We will definitely be visiting again!

Perfect Family Weekend

A lovely warm welcome from Gerry and the stable girls. Stunning scenery. A beautiful site with plenty of fresh water taps and a clean chemical waste area, electric hook up. Dogs welcomed. Our puppy thoroughly enjoyed himself!! Watch the ponies being taken out to the field and the bunny rabbits hopping around from the comfort of your caravan! A working riding school so lessons available or simply just sit and watch others! Plenty of local public foot paths. Not far from Tiptree Jam factory, Tesco and Asda. A very nice dog friendly 5* food hygiene rated local pub in the village with via games for the kids and a log fire (only a 2 minute walk) next to a small shop that sells everything you need. Also an Indian takeaway which we didn't try however again had a 5* good hygiene rating. All in all a perfect weekend away. I literally cannot find anything to grumble about! We were even allowed to stay later than usual in our last day. Definitely worth a visit for couples, families, dogs, walks, horse riding and food lovers! We will definitely return.

Lovely CL in Tolleshunt D'Arcy

Having just returned from a very enjoyable weekend stay at this CL, welcomed by the owner upon arrival with everything explained including the local walks for our dog, which there were plenty of choices. A short walk and you are in the village which has a very well stocked shop and a pub ( dog friendly ) which sadly we didn't get to try but, we will when we return... We did use the shop and the Indian takeaway which were both very good ! The site was very well kept and peaceful, surrounded by ponies in paddocks and a busy riding school which my wife thoroughly enjoyed watching and did not cause any concern or problems during our stay. The toilet is shared with the stables and this is maybe a bit basic but its a toilet at the end of the day.... We will definitely be returning to this great little find...
