Great CL in the perfect location.Three

Three Oaks is an excellent CL in a perfect location for exploring the many attractions of South Pembrokshire from Haverford West to Tenby and beyond. The field is a good size, with electricity and water points well spaced so that wherever you pitch they are easy to access. The site is in a very quite and peaceful location, yet is only a few minutes drive from the nearest A road. The site has 16 amp electrics which matches the demands of a modern caravan. The wifi on site is free and works very well. Unusual for a CL, the site has a very good washroom toilet and shower as well as washing machine and tumble dryer. The site owners Selwyn and Jan are very friendly and helpful and drop in to see you to make sure that you are settled in and to pass on info about the site and local attractions, shopping and eating places etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Three Oaks, and will definitely be returning on our next visit to Pembroke. Fantastic site

We arrived around 8pm on a Sunday evening having notified the owners we were running late not a problem after setting up Selwyn offered to run us down to a local pub for dinner and collected us afterwards. We would definitely stay again as this is a wonderful location really quiet and peaceful.

May Day Holiday

We enjoyed a weekend break at this lovely peaceful site. Made to feel very welcome, pitching up was easy and straightforward. 16 amp electric as opposed to the usual 10 amp. There is a quirky toilet laundry and shower room situated in a converted pigsty. It was lovely the shower was very very good. We would definitely return.

A shock to the system!

I always look at reviews before booking a site so I couldn't believe what we experienced here - nothing like the reviews indicated! No welcome for a start, we were greeted by someone already on site who told us that Selwyn wasn't there 'at the moment'. In fact we didn't see him at all and found it very difficult to make contact to know what to do about payment even. Admittedly the previous reviews said the shower/loo was basic - it certainly was! We couldn't face using it. The whole site was basic and looked run down. It was very poor value for money. We stayed on other sites in the area for the same price (and even cheaper) which were far superior to this one. By all means go with an open mind - it was certainly peaceful but that is all I can recommend.

Another Excellent CL to add to my list

We stayed for 4 nights here in the recent half term break. The site is peaceful and picturesque but close enough to the many places of interest in Pembrokeshire. The owner Selwyn was very friendly and informative. The Carew Inn is a little over a mile away down a quiet lane for nice food. The facilities were basic but clean and the shower was piping hot. Add to that free wifi and access to a washing machine and tumble dryer and there is little to fault. We like quiet CLs like this but still look for EHU and at least a toilet but this excelled. I'm not too sure how close the local buses run but we tend either to walk if local or drive. We will be visiting again in the future

Easter 2018

We had a fantastic 8 night stay here at Easter. Selwyn is very friendly and will readily offer information about the surrounding areas and places to visit/pubs etc. The site is very easy to find if the final approach instructions are followed and entry into the site is good even for a large outfit. The shower room/wc area is basic but functional and we were more than happy to use it everyday. The washing machine and dryer in the same area were also a bonus and the wifi worked very well. On the whole this is a very peaceful site which provides a great base for exploring this part of Pembrokeshire. Tenby and saundersfoot are both about 15 minutes away by car and Pembroke castle is close by and worth a visit too. Barafundle and broad haven beaches (both national trust) are glorious and easily reached and offer magnificent scenery.Carew castle and the tidal mill, just down the lane and with free parking provide you with a lovely walk around the lake and the Carew inn makes an ideal stop to pick up refreshments. A great value for money site which we would not hesitate to return to.

Hidden Gem

Thank you Selwyn, a true ambassador for CL site owners, nothing was too much trouble. If you plan on using the on site toilet/shower room, you'll love it, real quirky, I've never showered with ivy growing through the walls of the shower before, however, it was always hot always clean. Very well kept site, we will be back.

Delightful !!

Stayed here with the family (2 kids) for three nights, we loved it as soon as we arrived. It is so quiet and peaceful. The grass was a bit wet but the kids used the climbing frame and swing. The transformed pig sty/ toilet block is fully functional and is quirky - kids thought it was great!! Lovely reception from the owner, Selwyn upon arrival and got a big hug when leaving - we will definitely return!!!

Everything you could possibly need on a CL

Just returned home from spending three nights at this wonderful CL. It is set in a beautifully quiet location but easy to find. No traffic noise at all. The owner Selwyn is incredibly helpful and friendly advising on the local area, where to eat, good walks etc. The grass is kept short and the field is large so plenty of room. The converted piggery providing the facilities is actually very pretty even tho rustic in nature and we had no problem with the facilities at all. The shower was hot and free, toilet clean and even a washing machine for those who want it. To have any of these on a CL is a great bonus but to have them all is excellent. Icing on the cake is free wifi which worked well. How come the club sites charge so much for it?! There is plenty to see in the area, three nights is not enough. Lawrenny Quay on the river estuary is very pretty with a great cafe and pub and Carew castle and mill is beautiful. The entire coastline from Freshwater West with its great beach shack Cafe Mor serving lobster rolls, to Manorbier is stunning. Tenby and Saundersfoot are also close and the pretty inland town of Narbeth. For those who like the simplicity and peace of a CL this one has it all and I can see why Selwyn has so many repeat guests.

A week in May

Stayed a week in May and loved the Pembrokeshire Coast especially St Davids (1 hr away) As members of the National Trust we were able to park for free & walk across Barafundle Beach - absolutely stunning. The site itself was very large and roomy with only a gentle slope. Selwwyn the owner, very friendly and chatty. Free Wi-fi and worked well, what a bonus. Minus points - the shower room was not for us - basic did not come into it. Washing machine & tumble dryer very handy but hubby had to clean it first as covered in bird poo. Grass clippings not collected and after a day's heavy rain - not good. Carew Inn, nice easy walk but didn't eat there.
