Another Good CL

We spent a lovely weekend at this CL at the end of June. Easy to find although CL signs are low down and easy to miss, so take it steady after leaving the main road. Site is level grass and there is lots of space, so plenty of pitching options. There is also a bit of hardstanding just before the main site. EHU and water taps well spaced along the hedge. Good CDP with tap for rinsing. The site is fairly quiet, just a few cars and tractors use the road past the site, the railway runs along the bottom of the field, but we hardly noticed the trains. There are some nice views from the site of Martinsell Hill, which we walked up, and you can see the caravans from the top. There is a nice footpath at the end of the site which goes to the village, nice for dog walking, the footpath is also used by some of the locals. You can also walk the farm field margins. We visited Avebury, which is well worth visiting. We didn't see the owners, they were busy on the farm, although were contactable if needed, and payment instructions can be found on info board by the bins. Highlight of the weekend was watching the Barn Owl in the evenings, hunting in the field in front of the van.
