Lovely CL

Lovely well maintained site with shower and toilet. Mrs Lamont was very friendly and helpful. There was a lot of noise from tractors and a quad bike passing by but overall we had a lovely stay and would revisit.

Recent Stay

We struggled to find this site, despite sat nav and reading the instructions!! We did give feedback to site owner as to how this might be improved as we were not the only ones. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and had a chat with the owner. We paid £15 for a pitch in the field It is a working farm and on a B road, so there was some noise from farm vehicles and the odd car but it didn't bother us at night at all. We are completely self contained so only need water but I understand that there is a toilet if required. This was just a stop over for us so we could not comment on areas of interest.

Convenient for the Arran Ferry

We stayed here twice before catching the ferry to and from Arran as we had to drop off and collect our dog from a nearby kennels. Lovely peaceful site and as the roads leading to the site had been newly tarmacked (spelling?) access was easy. This is a lovely part of the world which we didn't have time to discover but would be near enough to visit the big cities and the surrounding countryside too.

Well kept site

I spent a full week here in August.  We had agreed £12pn by telephone in advance.  Just as well as others on site were being charged rather more.  The site is well kept, water pressure is good and the facilities for CTD are good.  There is a toilet and shower available too.  This a pleasant CL and the owner clearly cares about the presentation.  We were on an over spill field which can water log quite easily.  This is not helped if caravan owners drive with excessive speed and thus ploughing the grass area. I would happily come back to this site.  Mount Stewart on Isle of Bute was a super visit from this site.

would stay again

Difficult to find sat Nav will get you there but along a one track road, the farm is situated along it,s own road, so very little noice, the owner is lovely and although a very busy lady has time to stop and talk.  The farm is about 16 miles from Androssa, where you can get a ferry to Arran. Foot passengers £11.60 return and there are buses waiting on Arran to take you all over the Island £5 .40 day ticket, a great place to visit. You can also get a train from Glengarnock about 5 miles away £5.? For two return trains run every few minutes . Back to the site, not big but enough room , toilet and shower a bit dated, but the shower is lovely just close your eyes to the surrounding's, there is a washing machine but it was out of order when we were there. There,s also 2 ponies and 2 donkeys in the next field, lovely and friendly.

Farm

Stayed on hardstanding away from main plot.Basic facilities ie electric/water.There is waste disposal available. It is on a working cattle farm and we were left to do our own thing.Owners very nice and down to earth.A peaceful night and wouls stay again.Dogs had a whole field to run in as i shut the gate and we had our own enclosure. There was a toilet and shower which could do with updating but we used our own facilities.
