Excellent for dog owners

Very welcoming, facilities are all within good walking distance, excellent place to take your dogs, we have 2 deerhounds, and they could run easily in the fenced fields. Easy access to all of west Cornwall. Make sure you visit Zucchini Italian restaurant on your visit, it is amazing.

Our bolthole on the Lizard Peninsula.

A place to chill out with no pressure from anyone or anything. A warm welcome which we look forward to and know we will enjoy. Basic facilities expected from a CL kept in top order , grass always well groomed and a pull out if the Cornish weather is against you. Thirty miles from almost anywhere in Cornwall , a few miles from the biggest and best pasties in Cornwall at The Horse and Jockey bakery in Helston. Looking forward to seeing Cisie and David on our second visit this year in a few days and hoping the gales will die down quickly but it does't matter too much as the site is well protected by the surrounding woods.

Our favourite Cornish CL

We've visited so many CLs across the UK over the years but Trevassack remains our favourite. It is a secluded country site, but perfectly situated for exploring the Lizard Peninsula, Goonhilly Downs and the Helford Estuary as well as being close to beautiful beaches such as Kynance Cove and Poldhu. If you book this site you will often have most of a level, private meadow to yourself, bounded by fields and woodland. This May our grassy pitch was surrounded by purple orchids and other beautiful wild flowers. Dogs are made very welcome here, and there are plenty of scenic walks for them in the countryside immediately surrounding Trevassack. Our children have always loved Trevassack, and enjoyed running about safely in the fields and spotting the wildlife as well as making friends with the owner's horses. Of course, as this is a small CL you will need to be more or less self-contained, but there is a loo and washbasin for your exclusive use close at hand, and you will be able to hook-up too as well as dispose of your waste conveniently. Mr and Mrs Bisson are helpful, friendly and responsible site owners and did not hesitate to get us out of trouble this year when we were struggling with a new, stubborn and awkward drive-away awning. I am almost hesitating to post this review, as I feel I don't want to share our favourite holiday spot with too many others- but we look forward to meeting you there one day!

Half term break

This is an excellent CL and well worth a visit. We stayed for a week in May with our two boys and had a fantastic week. It is a tranquil site with a supermarket nearby in Helston. It is close to great beaches and we were able to visit the theme park of Flambards and also have an afternoon crabbing at Helford. Our children loved the horses and goat. All the facilities you need with a modern caravan with good electricity and a good emptying point. The access is a bit tight but the canopy is high enough for a caravan. No problem for a very safe and secluded site. Perfect for a family!

Suited Our Needs

We stayed here in October 2012, and after a lot of rain, the field was wet, so we stayed on the hardcore entrance to the field. We found the driveway a bit tight in places for our motorhome, there were some branches in the way. The driveway passes very close to the house, which feels a bit intrusive, however the owner was very friendly and discreet and offered to lend us an extension to our hook up. Turning the motorhome round was quite tight in the stable yard, because we could not go on the field, we are just under 7m.  Our dogs met the owners dog with no problems on arrival but afterwards they kept away. Good walking on Goonhilly Downs. Overall a quiet and basic CL site with friendly owners, which suited our needs.
