We stayed with our dog at the site for 8 nights at the start of the summer.  We had a lovely time and the staff were friendly and welcoming towards us and our dog.  We ran the dog in the morning, then left her for an hour or so in the caravan, well ventilated and then returned and took her to the beach.  Wonderful. We re booked to return a fortnight later and having travelled over two hours to get there and paying, the owner to,d us that it was against Caravan Club rules to leave the dog in the caravan.  We checked and it was not so we showed her the reference to dogs in the CC book.  At this point she became really confrontational and told us it was her rule and if we didn't like it then leave.  We explained that we didn't want to leave, we had had a lovely holiday the fortnight earlier and simply wished to repeat the activities which she accepted at that time.  She refused to let us leave the dog and insisted we take our money back.  It was 10am and she told us we had to leave by midday, which was a tall order given we had two bikes and an awning to pack away. This was a very upsetting experience.  Had she had told us the change in rules when we discussed returning, we would not have booked.  There were no signs to indicate that owners cannot leave their dogs for short periods of time in a ventilated caravan. She also declared that she didn't want dogs on the site at all. So we would suggest that dog owners avoid this CL site.
