Beautiful Site

We have just spent three night at this lovely site. Fantastic shower block, well actualy two bbathrooms which have toilet, wash basin and wet room area. Kept lovely and clean. Althoughyou have to pay for the shower it is still cheaper than a main site. I found £1gave you plenty of time for 6 minutes but for £ 2 I could wash my hair without rushing. The site is well laid out and there is plenty of room on your pitch. Being relatively new at using CL sites I was very pleased with our choice. However the last two miles on single track roads can be a bit scary. But we only encountered one car on the way in and they kindly reversed back to a passing place and we were fine leaving but it is a bit 'heart in your mouth' for the last two miles. Also, the pub mentioned in the directions is closed and all signage has been removed and the sign to Gretton is obsured by the give way sign so watch out for that.

A great stay in a wonderful area

We have just returned from a two night stay at Upper Farm. The farm is approx 4 miles off the A49 and the lanes are single track in places but fairly quiet. We arrived later than we had hoped and it was dark but we found the site, the pitches are clearly defined and we set up without any trouble. There is a shower/wc block with 2 separate unisex facilities. The location was amazing for walkers, just 5 mins walk from the picturesque village of cardington with access to great walks. We did a circular walk from the village over the caer caradoc which was amazing and the village pub was open on our return for a welcome cider. We called at the farm to pay our fees on Saturday and the owners said we could leave any time on Sunday as they were quiet. This was lovely as we weren't under any pressure to leave the next day. Overall, for anyone that wants a peaceful location, great walks, close to village pub would definitely recommend.

Wonderful

We booked the CL last minute for the August Bank Holiday. We had a lovely welcome from Mrs Rogers. The site is beautifully clean and well maintained. The shower block clean and modern. At night it was so quiet (the silence was deafening), even the cows were quiet! The approach to to the farm from the main road is by single track road, so you do need to take care. It's a delightful CL which we will certainly use again.

LIFE CANNOT GET BETTER THAN THIS

We have spent 9 glorious days on this very impressive CL. When we arrived we were surprised to see more then the usual 5 pitch CL, it turned out that the farm as recently opened a seasonal site further along this large and immaculately kept site. We had the option of pitching on the CL or the seasonal site (which we opted for) further away from the 5* toilets and showers but ideal for the stunning views. All pitches are fully serviced, very generously proportioned with ample level hard standing for Car,Caravan and Awning with a grassed area separating you from the next Van. The farm is located in an ideal position to visit all that Shropshire has to offer and the delights of Wales is only a short journey away. A very warm and friendly greeting awaits you from all at the farm and I would thoroughly recommend this site.

Lovely setting

Stayed recently for 2 night stay & was very pleasantly surprised. Pitches all hardstanding & flat. Each pitch has its own hook-up, water tap & waste services. Abundance of hotwater in the shower block for just £1 although bathroom was a bit cold!! Mr Rogers the host very pleasant chatty farmer. Beautiful scenery, lambs playing in field infront of caravan field overall would recommend

Perfect little site

No one at farm when we arrived but set up anyway. When we went back to farm got a very nice welcome from owners who were very friendly. Shower block was cold couldn’t seem to get heater to work, but showers work fine little low on power, don’t bother with 20p just go for the £1. Site was very nice, great views & very handy for Iron Bridge museum & walking on the Long Mynd I would go back in the summer to do more walking

Spot On

We've just returned from a short break and loved our stay, true it is down a few winding roads but it is well worth it and Fred the owner is a cracking bloke easy going and full of local knowledge. We found it relaxing and dog friendly and will definitely return thanks.

Quiet and well maintained site

Stayed on this site for two nights at the end of May 2014. Found the owners very helpful. The drinking water tap is not on the site but in a nearby farmyard. A notice on the site or reference to the water tap in the guide would have been helpful. The toilet block and shower room were very clean and to a good standard. Enjoyed our stay in very peaceful surroundings. Some caravan owners did find navigating the narrow lanes to access the site difficult. Not a problem with our motorhome.

a real gem

Me & my elderly mum have just returned from this site, where we stayed for 4 nights.  The weather was awful, but the site & location made up for this!   Hard-standing meant that the wet & rain wasn't an issue, the wash facilities are excellent and there is a camra pub 1/2 mile away - couldn't get better from my perspective. The downside, the lanes to the site are very narrow and nerve racking for towing a caravan, and i would not like to have met anything coming in the opposite direction, as passing place were few and far between.  Fortunately, the roads are exceptionally quiet, and only occasionally, did we ever come across another vehicle whilst we were out and about without the caravan. This site was well worth the short nervous bit from the main road - a real gem!
