Above and Beyond

It has to be said that Vose Farm is without doubt the best cl site we have ever stayed on.. With its beautiful surroundings and exceptional owner Phil you cannot go wrong staying here. Without going into detail Phil went above and beyond to help us out of a very sticky and scarey situation we had with our Motorhome. Thankyou Phil if you read this.. Every detail of this cl site has been created with care and beauty and we will definitely be visiting again. Our dog Skye loved the walk around his woods.. Hope to see you soon Gail Rob and Skye

- A Beautiful CL -

One of these CL's that you WILL return to. Had a very lovely 12 days here - hard standing for the caravan and a grass area for the awning. Loads of room for everything! Each pitch has its own tap, which is very useful - sadly however, because we decided we'd like our awning up too, our hose wasn't long enough to connect directly to one water bottle. Nonetheless, no 'great shakes' as the taps are only a couple of yards away! Very lovely views across the Valley, very quiet and peaceful and a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Very good pub - 'The Crown' at St. Ewe, a mile or so away which did a splendid Sunday Roast Lunch - and Tregony Village, for the newspaper and other necessities only another couple of miles away! St. Austell and Truro relatively close in either direction - and of course lovely Mevagissey, only four miles away! A lovely spot!

Beautiful Site!

Just come back from first visit to this site with our Motor home and it will not be our last. Owners have set it all out extremely well and keep it well maintained. They put a lot of work and effort into it all. Hard standings are all good sized with grass area to the side. Large nature area complete with pond and resident Canadian Geese and their family!! All really lovely. No hesitation in recommending it.

A fabulous find

We are so pleased to have found this site, only an hour from home. The site is beautifully maintained and the owners very welcoming. The walks through the woodland area are food for the soul and lovely views west across the countryside We definately plan to return later in the year - hoping for some autumn colour

Top Marks All Round!!

I am a firm believer that any reviews should be objective and I felt that I had to redress the balance in favour of this lovely CL, having read a previous review. Communication with the owner by email was efficient - we paid by BACS transfer and a pitch allocation board told us where to go on arrival. The setting is lovely with wide hard standing pitches all facing west and offering a view over an ornamental lake (made extra special by the hatching of seven Canada Geese goslings who paraded daily on the water). Each pitch has EHU and its own water point so bring a hose pipe connector - no filling of the water carriers required. The waste, toilet emptying and recycling is all kept together in a fenced area close to the pitches - hard standing path from the roadway gives access to the gate. There is plenty of space for everyone including at least five acres of woodland with close mown paths - great to exercise the dogs off lead - pick up and dispose in the bin provided. WiFi signal is weak but it is free so I have no complaints at all. There is a road that runs along the back of the site but it is a country lane which I would not describe as busy!! The location of the CL offers easy access to many places of interest. It's probably about 3 miles down to the nearest beach at Caerhayes. All main supermarkets at St. Austell. All of this comes at £15 per night - hardly expensive (in my view). I believe the price rises slightly to £16 at the end of May but conversely drops to £14 in the winter. I hope I have redressed the balance as we will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Very nice cl.

We have just returned from a week at this site. We have also used his site on our previous 2 visits to Cornwall and will use again on our next visit. As mentioned by a previous reviewer there is a road behind the pitches (not visible ) but it is in no way a busy road so caused us no problem at all, we barely noticed it. All waste, recycling and fresh water is in one well presented fenced area at the end of the site. If you have a dog the exercise area is extremely good with plenty of room to let them off the lead to have a run. Also very peaceful with nice views over fields. Free wi if is adequate from site but 4G signal is available (02) and is actually quicker tbh but as it’s free anyway have no reason to moan about it.

Could be better and is expensive in Winter. WiFi useless.

Try to be honest and balanced so have left review a month since visit. Easy access, and nice lightly sloping hardstandings useable for winter. Reasonable view away from the road of ornamental lake. All water and waste across a really damp and boggy stretch of grass (throughout my visit). You have to enter a fenced area gate to get there and it felt a real pain and exhausting getting mud splatters up your trousers every visit. The owner had started a gravel path to it that was clearly an abandoned project a long time ago. The useable part of it was submerged in rainwater whilst there remains just the muddy grass the rest of the way. For those of us with an on-board water tank it makes things a pain, and I am not lazy as walked 15 plus miles each day. No water by pitches. The pictures do not show a reasonably fast road just the other side of the hedge 2 metres behind each hardstanding. Have a pop top like mine, and just be happy to be woken up by traffic at 7am each morning. I booked the site at what I considered a hefty £13.50 for single occupancy and just ehu on the promise of free WiFi on all pitches. The WiFi was detectable much nearer to the farmhouse but totally unusable anywhere else. I pointed this out to the owner who offered no solution or concession. For the sake of my staying in touch with my online concerns, I was lucky that my mobile provider was well covered for telephone data here, although it ended up costing me extra to buy the data I needed. Would be much better in the Summer months, but I was very disappointed at broken promise of the WiFi and felt that I overpaid for what is a very basic, not user friendly site for the wet winter months. I would urge the owner to sort or remove the WiFi promise, complete the path to the services area and consider extending at least one tap to the middle of the hardstanding area. I will not be staying again under the current conditions but concede it may be reasonable at that price for the Summer months. Why Summer holiday destination cls don't generally downgrade prices in murky Winter time is beyond me.

Excellent hosts lovely views

We were very well looked after, sadly had to call for ambulance both owners turned out to make sure all turned out well (at 11pm on a Friday night). Views of wide open Cornish Countryside. Lovely dog walks with short grass paths. Very well maintained site. Good access to Caerhays (dog friendly sandy beach) Lost Gardens of Heligan and other Roseland sights.
