One of our favourites

This gem of a CL is situated at the back of the farm on a large expanse of level well mown ground with well spaced pitches mainly separated with trees and shrubs. No children or dogs and back from the road ensures peace and quiet apart from an occasional toot toot from the Wells Walsingham Light Railway. All pitches have good views over the surrounding pastures on which graze a few sheep. We saw buzzards, curlews and marsh harriers and in the past we have watched barn owls on site. If you are not very active the water supply could be a problem as it is up a slight incline in a barn and not actually by the pitches. Two miles from Wells there are plenty of walks out over the marshes at Blakeney and the Burnhams and the Holkham Estate is a couple of miles the other side of Wells. There is an excellent Chinese take away in Wells.

The Sunny Norfolk Coast

Have stayed on this site for a number of long weekends when we tire of the Rural Suffolk Coast. Access to the site is good and have always been met with a friendly welcome. Plenty to do ranging from the park at Holkham Hall which is within easy cycling distance. The beach at Holkham. Crabbing at Wells next the Sea. Best of all is the short drive to the car-park and the walk to Blakeney Point where the seals are always there to be seen. All in all a good site to explore the North Norfolk coast. If fully booked Mrs Green also runs the Old Playing field site just in the village the site at the farm is always our first choice.
