Welcoming hosts

Chose this site as a weekend away May bank holiday to visit Gainsborough Old Hall, and was interested to learn how we would cope “ off grid”. Proved to be an inspired choice as its location was superb for us and Abraham and Aiesha were at hand to make sure we had a great stay. There’s an old historic windmill a short walk away that is open on a Saturday where Ian will enthusiastically show you around ( thanks again Ian ). Gainsborough Old Hall is very interesting/ Gainsborough isn’t apart from Gainsborough Heritage Centre. Retford was a nice little town with a variety of shops. We also cycled to Idle Valley nature reserve. The site is also close to Sundowners Theme Park for those visitors with small children. Ther is a cabin with a shower, toilet and sink and another with sink , toilet. Both were very clean and shower hot. Overall this is a super site that can only get better as Abraham is very passionate about improving his site. We will definitely be making a return for a visit again.

Perfect Nottinghamshire site

Visited for a quick break early June and found a great little site. It's well maintained, hardstanding, shower and toilets, what more would you need. No electric hook up but don't find that essential at all at this time of year. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Easy access to places of interest and for more of an adventure use the local buses. We walked the Chesterfield Canal from Worksop to Retford using buses, a great day out. Please give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Beautifully maintained site

Just had a long weekend staying at Willow Beck Retreat and have nothing but compliments. From the moment you arrive the signs are clear and professional, you are greeted with a very friendly hello amd the site is kept in immaculate condition. Facilities were modern and well kept. The site host Abraham couldn't be any more helpful. Local directions for nice places to take our dogs for walks and even gave me a hoodie when it got a bit chilly hah! Overall I rated the site 5 stars, it is quiet, beautifully landscaped and will only continue to improve as it grows and develops with time. Can't wait to stay again in the future.

Fantastic site

Just returned home from a weekend at this great site. The owner Abraham couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Having a serviced pitch was a first for us and having no electric was also but was fine with the solar panel. The toilets and shower was spotless as was the whole site which was really peaceful and surrounded by some nice views. It's got a middle of nowhere feel but Gainsborough, Lincoln etc aren't very far at all to travel to. We plan to return and have another weekend there when we can. All in all a great site with a great owner who wants you to have a good time. Hope this helps anyone looking for a nice well kept quiet site. Thanks.

A great find!

We were welcomed immediately by Abie who is so welcoming and attentive. Throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. The site has five hard standing pitches, each with their own water and grey waste. Everything is generally modern and clean and Abie has obviously put a lot of thought into creating the site. The site also has a shower room with toilet and a separate single toilet, both modern and immaculately clean. It’s a very short walk to the local pub, and the local shop, it’s easily drivable to Lincoln Town Centre and there’s plenty of things to do in the area. There is even a little shop on site with essentials and Fire Pit packs are available if you wanted to have a fire pit on your pitch. The site is secured by two sets of coded gates. Overall, a decent find. What makes the site is Abie being so personable, its modern, clean vibe and immaculate facilities. We’ll be back!
