well worth a visit

Just returned from visiting this gem of a site, spacious and immaculately kept. John the owner is very friendly and welcoming. The RSPB Reserves of Frampton Marsh and Frieston Shore are close by whether you like birdwaching/wildlife or just a bracing walk along the sea banks. Wednesday Boston Market is not to be missed, Aldi and Asda Supermarkets are in easy reach. Don't forget Skegness!! Les 'n' Jan

Found our Caravan legs again!!

Just returned to Caravanning after a 10 year absence and wanted somewhere close to home to test run/find our legs in our new van so chose Willow Cottage as only 5 miles away. Couldn't have found anywhere any better, a beautifully maintained level site, so peaceful and tranquil watching Hares running across the field, so good we are going back again next weekend and will revisit whenever we need a quick weekend break or more

Better Than Ever!

My husband and I stayed at this site last year (see my first review dated 12 June 2018). John, the owner, keeps everything in immaculate condition and we had another perfect holiday there recently. Just can't fault it. We'll be back!

1st class site.

Just come home after spending a lovely weekend at this site. The owner John is very welcoming and a mine of information. Grass cut and collected - immaculate. Very quiet site - plenty of dog walks. Dog friendly pub and restaurant 3 miles down road (food delicious priced well). The only drawback is that you need car to get anywhere, but this is normal for most sites. We will certainly be back soon before season ends, shame its not open through winter.

A little gem

This is a lovely quiet well kept site that is very easy to find. It is lawned, level and really spacious. We stayed 7 nights and visited nature reserves in the area. The weather was a let down but it didn't spoil our time spent there. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Total Relaxation

We stayed for 3 nights in early July. We were the only ones on the site so had complete relaxation. A beautiful setting with plenty of butterflies, hares and trees. Tucked away in the middle of nowhere, this place is a gem. You do need your vehicle to get anywhere, though. Amber Hill consists of residential housing only, so shops and pubs are not easily accessible. Site owner was very friendly and easy to get along with. We will return, should we be in the area again. Thanks for a lovely few days!

One of the Best

My husband and I recently stayed at Willow Cottage for a fortnight and thoroughly enjoyed it. The site is very peaceful and the surrounding countryside is perfect for walking – our dogs loved it. As the nearby roads are straight and flat they would be ideal for cycling too. Boston is very close for food shopping, with three major supermarkets on the outskirts. There are other well-known retailers in the town as well. Frampton Fens RSPB reserve is very close and at this time of year there are many different and interesting species to see. John, the site owner, has taken a lot of trouble to ensure that the site is well maintained and made us feel very welcome. There is a wealth of wildlife in the vicinity and we had hares on the field every day, with deer and hedgehogs passing through from time to time. I cannot recommend Willow Cottage highly enough as it’s one of the best CL sites we’ve stayed at. We’re already planning our next visit!

If in Boston, stay here!

We enjoyed a lovely 3-night stay at this new CL. It has been lovingly created by John, who made us very welcome. The site is pristine and a credit to its creator. The silence is occasionally punctuated by the sound of a passing tractor and trailer, and the views across the flat countryside give you a perfect view of the oncoming weather situation. There is plenty of room to stretch out on the 5 pitches if necessary. We were lucky, there was only us all weekend, but surely it can't stay that for long. If you are visiting the Boston area, this is an ideal base, close to numerous places of interest. We visited Tattersall Castle (NT), Woodall Spa (very quaint), Horncastle (closed on a Sunday), and a RSPB site at Frampton Marsh, as well as a trip into Boston. And all for only £12 per night, including electrics! Highly recommended.

A lovely, peaceful site

We stayed here initially for 2 nights, but due to the peace and tranquility, we stayed a further 2 nights! It is a relatively new site, we actually noticed it in the magazine and decided to give it a try - we were so pleased we did. It is a credit to the owner, well maintained, it has everything you need to have a peaceful stay. It is spacious and well thought out, easy to access (and exit!); beautiful surroundings and the sunsets are outstanding. We were there during harvesting by a local farmer, but even this didn't spoil our visit; after all you are in the middle of the countryside. It is abundant with wildlife and we enjoyed watching the hares scampering across the site. I would recommend this site to anyone wanting a quiet, peaceful stay; and we will definitely be back to stay here.
