Noisy

Probably the least tranquil site we have ever visited. Positioned between the garden centre car park and a pub, the CL is less than 100 yds from the busy A165 which remains busy during the day. Quite well laid out, with generous hard standings a good CDP and recycling facilities. There is, however, no grey water disposal unless you follow the instructions given, which were to tip grey water down the knee high CDP. Not really practical for either a MH or a caravan wastemaster. Be aware that the site requires a full 50% of fees deposit at the time of booking and that the arrival instuctions given, i.e. to head towards the Gardners Country Inn and towards a gate on the left are of little use as this gate is permanently locked. The way into the CL is via the garden centre car park then to turn immediate right via the overflow car park. The permanently locked gate, as above, provides a means of exit for caravanners during the hours when the garden centre is closed. During our stay, we were unfortunate in that building work started in the adjacent car park. A JCB digger and a dumper truck spent the entire day digging holes and trenches and moving earth during working hours. No prior warning of this was given either at the time of booking or the time of arrival. It became so bad that in the end we left a day early.
