Seniors Sample Skirlaugh in Spring.

This site suited us very well as we were visiting a student granddaughter in Hull. We also had bicycles with us and the proximity of the excellent Trans Pennine Trail was a great bonus. We cycled east to Hornsea one day and to The Deep at Hull on another day. Each about 7 miles away along a flat, easy trail. The availability of all meals at either The Gardeners Pub next door or the garden centre adjacent to the site was also very useful! We had an excellent, freshly cooked breakfast [open at 8am] and an evening meal at the pub and the garden centre was good for coffee and cakes! We also appreciated the 10% discount at the garden centre that was offered with our booking. The site is very well laid out with all 5 pitches spacious and hardstanding. There is electricity but no wi fi - this is feely available at the pub. There is a chemical emptying point and waste water is disposed of in the customary CL fashion - water the trees and plants! The site is adjacent to a busy road, so day-time noise is inevitable. Security is good with locked gates. We were four seniors in our party [2 motorvans] and we had a great short break and will no doubt return with another food parcel for the student!
