Thanks for a lovely peaceful stay

We stayed here for five nights from 23rd March and were very impressed by the friendly, helpful and welcoming attitude of Tina and all the team. They are making big improvements to the site and they clearly want to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable stay. The site is in a great location and the facilities are well kept- thank you to all at Alderstead Heath for a lovely peaceful stay from Mark and Sue from Sheffield!

Beautiful Site

We received a cheery welcome from the site staff and were pleased to see that there is now a great little site shop that was decorated for Easter. The grounds and facilities were spotless. Plenty of lovely walks direct from site, head to The Fox or The Harrow if you think you might need refreshments ;). There’s also a very handy dog wash onsite for our muddy four legged friends. This is a very convenient site for us, only a short way from home and yet we feel like we are miles away from normal life, very relaxing. The staff are happy and helpful, the site is peaceful and beautiful…. What’s not to like?! A big thank you to the team x

Very convenient site just outside there ULEZ Zone

Well maintained site with great facilities that we regularly use when visiting family in Surrey and good rail connections into London. Lots of good dog walks in the area that drain well and so mare not too muddy despite recent weather; Farthing Down, Happy Valley and Kenley Aerodrome. Biggin Hill Spitfire Restoration Factory Hangar is also well worth a visit.

Great location amongst the trees

Very convenient for us visiting family in South London and Sevenoaks. Beautifully located amongst the trees in silence apart from the Robins hopping around. Very friendly greeting from the very helpful Steve. Impeccably kept site with first rate, spotlessly clean facilities. We may become regulars, thank you.

Near M25 and London but outside ULEZ

It has been a few years since I have stayed here, and I am pleased to see nothing has changed from before.I see now that this site is not open all year now, which is a shame because we used to visit out of season. It still retains the peaceful ambience, with the lovely walk in the nearby woods. We had the customary visit to Box Hill and Denbies winery. Again a reminder not to use Dean Lane as Sats Navs will direct you that way.Just follow directions given in handbook.

Returning visitor - lovely site again.

We have just had a 3 night extended weekend break (21st-24th Sept 2023) at this lovely club site, it has been a favourite of ours for the past 10 years, but we haven't visited as frequently in the past 2 years as the site became a somewhat less welcoming environment due to the presence of the traveller communities on site. For this reason we were nervous to come back but we are SO SO glad that we did. The site was back to how we fondly remembered it 4-5 years ago, very peaceful, relaxing, well kept and lovely welcoming CAMC staff. We enjoyed it so much that we will look to return for local weekend breaks much more often again. We had considered spending Christmas 2023 here, but realised that the site season for 2023 and 2024 has now been shortened, so this site is no longer open all year.

Lovely leafy site useful for Channel crossings

Stayed just one night on way back from France. Very handy for cross Channel trips with proximity to M25. However the access route is circuitous, with a choice of either narrow potholed roads on the recommended route, or a longer drive through Reigate. Site is lovely, wooded in parts or open, with large level hardstanding and grass pitches. Easy motorhome service point with lots of space appreciated. Facilities exceptionally clean, so thanks to hard-working wardens. Security barrier is a rising metal plate in road, operated with plastic fob and facilities have coded access. Off-lead dog area very small, but rest of site leafy and large enough to wander happily with dogs on lead. Site was very underused for a weekend, which is a pity when it is so peaceful and pretty (but great for us to chill out)!

Great campsite

I stayed at AH on a repeat basis as I was working in the area, often a few nights a week, from June until end of August. I have to say that I was never disappointed; arriving late, not a problem, quick check in, no issues. I always booked the economic pitch and was given a choice of which pitch I wanted. Always quiet and these pitches (I stayed in a different three) were located where there is plenty of room and although you can see your neighbour, they are not close. The facilities were modern, clean and the showers great. They even now have Wi-Fi, it is not perfect, but it worked ok late at night and early morning. Staff are helpful and they have a great security system at the entrance so overall, as a women on her own, I always felt safe. I will be back if I am working that way again.

Great site ,great location , but shortage of staff and price hikes let it down

This is a great site , great location for London or the South Coast , nice and quiet although its close to main routes , surrounded by woodland. We have used this site a few times to visit friends as we used to live down this way and have always have a good stay . Unfortunately this time a few points to pick up on , apparently they have warden shortages , and although the wardens that were there were great and done their best, this resulted in one toilet block being shut during our stay , the site was not full but busy , so facilities were very busy , and got quite dirty in between cleans (they were cleaned very well though) , which then takes me on to the nest gripe , last year two people for two nights £57.60 , this year two nights and two people £83.20 !! I know one was in school holidays and one just out of them , but really ?? . Also noticed as per our visits previous that the travelling community that stays there seem to think they have exclusive access to the disabled toilet block , they all have keys they have bought online and there needs to be some restriction on its incorrect use, we mentioned it to the warden and they said yes we know , but cant do anything about it ? So lower the prices a touch and give it a quick refurb and hire extra staff and it will then again be a superb site !!
