Was I on the same Campsite

Having just read the last two reviews in which members were complaining about aircraft noise and caravan washing at Ashridge Farm, I was beginning to wonder if I had been on the same campsite as my experience of it was entirely different. Granted that there is some airplane activity but as it seems to be aircraft on approach to Luton they are virtually coasting along. The sound was hardly intrusive and certainly not at night. They seemed to finish by about 11 o'clock at the latest. As for caravan washing, again that was happening but was very quiet. I could barely hear the power washer and I was on the same grass area as the person complaining about that. My own experience of Ashridge Farm was very positive. It is quiet, very clean and tidy. The wardens do an excellent job. The site is ideally located for visiting many interesting places such as the Shuttleworth Collection, Wimpole Hall and, of course, the Imperial War Museum at Duxford. If you go there you need good walking shoes and allow at least a whole day to see everything, possibly two days if you are like me and want to read every information board. We spent a most enjoyable week at Ashridge Farm and would certainly recommend it.
