Excellent Site with Dedicated Staff

Bearsted site is excellent and the staff are too.  We have just spent 9 days there and it was a delight to be on a site that delivered such high standards.  The location is excellent for exploring the host of interesting places to visit in East Kent and whilst we could hear the noise from the nearby motorway, it was not a nuisance and could not be heard from inside our motor caravan at night. Top marks to the staff, who are helpful and friendly and maintain the site to the highest standards.  The site has excellent facilities which fully met our expectation.  The arrival of Flo's mobile fish and chip unit on Friday was an added bonus and so welcome.  Bearsted is definitely one of our top sites.

Well Maintained, Convenient Site

Our second stay and the standard remains excellent. Convenient for the Medway towns and the Port of Dover. We were also there on the 31st August(curly 1950 review) and didn't find the road or rail noise excessive. It can be heard, but certainly not enough to interfere with sleep or the peace of the site and I am an extremely poor sleeper.

A great week - again

Stayed 8 days. We were on Pitch 31 next to the play area which was ideal for our grandson and his new found friends - adults taking turns to supervise them. It was his first time overnighting with us and was a great success. I cannot agree with those who say the site is noisy, it did not trouble us. Temporary wardens who had been retired several years but stepped in at short notice made us welcome. I cannot compliment the regular wardens enough on the cleanliness of the facilities and the upkeep of the grounds. One morning some ignorant oaf had left a disgusting mess in one of the gents cubicles, cleaned up very quickly - my sympathy to the person who had to do it. Why do people think it is OK to do this - disgusting. Will definitely return. Thanks to all the staff.

A really beautifully maintained site.

There is some road noise due to the M20 being close by, but I did not notice it until I awoke (or that's why I woke)? On Friday Flo's Fryer fish & chip van attended to our what to eat concerns, very nice. The staff are super. This is our nearest to home site and we will be making our way there straight from work on a Friday, when we need a bit of peace and quiet.

Never Again

We stayed for two nights, 31/08/2015. The site is emaculate and we  absolutely loved it. Staff are great and up for a bit of banter. Shower and toilet block could eat your food off the floor...  Then its bedtime. Hardly any sleep due to road noise and high speed trains. Although a great site its in a poor location. A20 to Maidstone along side, a few hundred metres running parallel is the M20 and next to that the high speed train link, noisey or what? Big shame as as i said before its a great site but in the wrong place.

Quality site in the heart of Kent

Lovely small CC site with loads of hard standing pitches. Access was a small issue as we arrived at a similar time to 3 other outfits and were nearly backed out onto the main road. Luckily nobody else came in behind us until the queue had moved along. Slight road and rail noise, only noticeable one morning when I had woken up. Loads to do around the area. I took my children Mote Park, which has a good playground, nice walk around a large lake and boats, pedalos and kayaks to hire. We also went to the adjacent swimming pool for the Friday night Wave Rave (disco in the pool), which my two really enjoyed and so did I because it was only £14 for 3 hours in the pool, which has a flume, wave machine, dive pit and rapids. We also visited the museum in the centre of Maidstone, which was free and had some interesting collections for young and old. Our other day was spent at Herne Bay - Typical east coast small seaside town. The biggest endorsement for Bearsted is that I would not hesitate to return should we venture into Kent again.

Immaculate site credit to wardens

A friend of mine visited me whilst on site, and as he's Australian asked if there was a communal BBQ area. I said, "no, here everybody tends to get the barbie out by your own van". At that, he pointed to a gorgeous area in the centre of the site. A timber framed area with a pitched roof, surrounded by a clipped robinia hedge. "There's the BBQ area", he said. No I replied, "that's where we empty the toilet".

Great as always....

Apart from the torrential rain we've had this August, we had a great time, the site is immaculate as usual and is a credit to the wardens, Terry and Roz. That statement includes the grounds, pitches and toilet/shower block. Yes there is some noise from the M20 but we sleep okay there, and we live in the countryside where there is no noise. Site is a doddle to find and is handy for all parts of Kent and East Sussex. We'll be back again and already looking forward to it.

Site immaculate as usual and wardens very friendly. Could have done without the grass cutting while I enjoyed my post pitching cuppa.

Great Site.

The site is so clean and tidy and the wardens are most helpful. We are mildly disabled and the wardens could not have been more helpful to us, it was so nice. With Leeds Castle and Maidstone close to hand it is a good choice for a break. The only draw back is the M20 which is not that far away. Thanks for the help.
