This was our first experience of a club site and was a long way from home, our arrival was delayed due to a breakdown, but we were welcomed when we eventually arrived, the pitch selection was a little confusing, but the site team were very helpful. The pitch was excellent, level with wonderful views out across the bay. The on site facilities, clean, well stocked, warm and good condition. The local information leaflets were very helpful, local advice was spot on and the site was a great base for further exploration, hiking and day trips to places like Cragside and Lindesfarne. The local beaches are spectacular, the walk out to the Lighthouse was interesting and we enjoyed exploring the town. There is a railway line very close - but to be honest, it was not intrusive or detracted from our visit, there was a short walk into the town, but plenty of good local shops as well as a selection of larger stores a short drive away. We will definitely make the long trip North again to visit as there is so much more to see on the general area.
