Beautiful parkland setting with magnificent trees and panoramas. The site itself is in a secluded walled garden setting, sheltered and peaceful. The facilities are absolutely immaculate, which presumably is why the toilet and shower blocks are shut for a couple of hours in the late morning. This is not a problem as long as one is aware of the fact. The nearest village, Doune, is a couple of miles away. Doune castle is "Winterfell" in Game of Thrones, and also appears in various other films. Blair Drummond, apart from being in a beautiful part of Scotland is within easy reach of much of the lowlands, including Glasgow and Edinburgh, and also much of the Highlands including the Trossachs national park. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to savour a wide range of Scottish experiences to stay here. We certainly intend to return.
