LOVED this site

I stopped at several places on my road trip, and this one was my favourite place to park my caravan for sure. I’m a private person so I loved the way there were trees and logs laid out to mark out your pitch making it private! And all the pitches were so big and spacious! Ofcourse it doesn’t have a toilet and shower block but it didn’t bother me. And the way you can walk through a gate and walk out into the wonderland of the lake is lovely. Wardens very friendly on arrival! It’s a really difficult drive to the site even if you take the right way, and don’t do what I did and take the wrong road to it. It left me on the edge of my seat! But very worth it once you get there. Only massive downside to this site is how it’s closed so much of the year. A real shame, if love it if the club could make it an all year round one. Only other downside was even in November the nearby lake was covered in blue green algae so my doggy couldn’t swim but hardly the sites fault. Will definitely be coming back.
