Lockdown ended - first days of freedom 2021

We arrived on the first day that the site was open. There was a eager queue of motorhomes and caravans waiting patiently to be allowed onto the site - but no driving around to find a pitch to your liking as the wardens had a pick-a-raffle-ticket-out-of-a-bucket 'blind' pitch allocation. It was fine, and we understood why it was done, but once everyone was in and settled we saw free pitches that we would have preferred. We liked the fact that the site was 'open' and not many trees - there's nothing worse than being under a tree when it rains. However, we saw no rain at all and the sun shone as if to welcome everyone to being allowed to roam once again. The site is level and we had to use the ramps to only slightly level the motorhome. We cannot comment on the toilets/showers because we were self-contained. The washing up facilities were very clean. The site was very well maintained and clean. Location is good and it's a tidy walk either by road or across the golf course to get to the coastal path and then the flat traffic-free walk into Bridlington.
