With a view like this, it's worth the drive.
The view across the Loch from absolutely anywhere on site is jaw dropping. The colours, the sky, the mountains, the valleys, just an awesome combination. Close to so many attractions, Jacobite Line, Ben Nevis, Glencoe, and then a bit further afield to Skye, Oban and the Western Isles, this made an ideal touring base.
I agree about the walking, we have two collies and really had to take them out in the car so they could get a decent walk. I try to cycle too, but this is very difficult considering how busy the A82 is, although Highlands Council are in the process of building a cycle path. That being said, putting the dogs in the car to let them have a walk is a small negative compared to the views freely available on site.
