Our first visit in October/November was brilliant. We were met by lovely site staff who were very helpful. We found loads of local information and great recommendations from them. The facilities were spotless and warm (it was quite cold when we visited). The site is well laid out and the serviced pitch was excellent. We found the local pub (just outside the site) was good and an ideal place to meet other visitors. In the warmer weather there is ample room at each pitch to sit outside. Each pitch was gravel and ours was level, a few outfits needed levelling blocks. For those less mobile you could choose a pitch nearer to the toilets/laundry. There were plenty of water chemical points and recycling areas that were cleaned every morning. Highly recommended site which we will visit often there’s plenty of places to visit and a good base for visiting Bury Market and Manchester. We were sceptical seeing a poor review but quite honestly it couldn’t be more wrong.
