We only stayed 2 nights but wish we could have stayed longer. We particularly loved the wild flowers allowed to grow on the grass and in the hedgerows and the homes for ‘little creatures’. The greenery growing along the quarry face made everything feel so very natural, we much prefer this to places that are neat as a pin. We had a great pitch, the number of which I have noted! The site wardens are very friendly and doing a brilliant job. Since the dastardly virus arrived we have been using our own facilities, mainly to protect the people that have to clean the showers and toilets as well as other members and ourselves. Not sure if we will ever go back to using communal facilities. As for the goods from the Bakewell Pudding shop, it would be rude not to enjoy them!
