Just returned from our Easter weekend at Carsington, usually our first outing each year to kick us off for the season. We’ve been members for almost 40 years and because the site ticks so many boxes, it’s one of our favourites. It’s only one hour away from home, it’s picturesque, it’s next to the reservoir and all it has to offer, it’s close to the market town of Ashbourne, it’s close to many points of interest in south Derbyshire - I could go on. What made it special for us this year was the wardens. There are just two couples for what is a medium-sized but busy site. They are so friendly and work so hard. They are a credit to the club and to themselves. Thank you for putting on such a brave face in what for us was the wettest and most miserable Easter Bank holiday we can ever remember. Keep up the good work.
