We came for the duration of the Chatsworth Country Fair and stayed on for the following week. This is a long holiday by our standards (nine nights) but we were confident about the site as we had visited last November for a few days. The wardens were lovely. I had numerous telephone conversations with them (due to the short notice of our intended stay) before our visit and they were never anything but helpful and patient. Upon our arrival they had obviously had a busy day but were polite and helpful nevertheless. The facilities block and outdoor spaces were clean and tidy even though the site was full to capacity over the weekend. The door through to the estate is a great bonus. We walked around the park and into Baslow on a number of occasions. I'd thoroughly recommend this site.
