Good for families

If you like crows

Easy to get to if you remember to change post code Good location to explore Peak District. But we wouldn’t return because of the constant noise from the crows. It is loud and continuous during daylight hours. If you want some peace and quiet avoid and if you want a clean car and unit !! Apart from the pesty birds it is same high standard of cleanliness and facilities you would expect.

We visit Chatsworth at least once every year and find it very peaceful, even in the Autumn when the deer's are rutting.  Chatsworth is in countryside and that is where birds and other animals live. Next thing people will be moaning about the sheep in the park, the resident ducks quaking, etc. If people don't want the sound of wildlife, perhaps a site in the middle of a busy city may be more appropriate, but then again some people would then want to moan about traffic noises. !!

The nesting and feeding sounds from rooks (probably not crows) is seasonal so choose another time of the year if they disturb you. It won't be long before the young rooks fly the nest. smile

We park near to a roost every December and love the sounds and the site as they circle and settle. Always take off again shortly afterwards and resettle. When there are nests and young we come across them on other sites and I love the sound. Hate pigeons but love the sound of these birds at nesting time. Reminds me it is spring.
