Great location

Just returned from a three night break at Clumber Park. We found the location to be perfect for our needs, with lovely not-too-challenging cycle rides across the national trust estate. We also drove to Sherwood Visitor Centre to see the Mighty Oak and purchase a bow and arrow for our son, who was very excited to be in the land of Robin Hood. All hard standing sites were filled whilst we were there, but the park was still very peaceful with not a sound after it got dark. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and chatty. Absolutely no phone signal and the site wifi was poor to non-existent, but we were warned of that upon our arrival. Some purchased tv cables which they plugged in at the electrical points, but we stuck to our books and board games and had a thoroughly enjoyable few days.
