Peace and quiet

We stayed here for the last three nights in October, before the site closed. The site has mainly grass pitches and many had been closed off due to the wet weather. We got lucky and found the last of the few hard standing pitches for our motorhome. I’m not sure we’d have been able to get on and off a grass pitch. The locator this site is perfect for exploring. We went to Weymouth, Studland and Swanage, all within easy reach. The Coop down the road is ideal as there is no shop on site. Shower facilities were great and appeared to be freshly refurbished. I didn’t use the compost loo as we used our own. To be honest I didn’t fancy it. The dog walk on site was good and we had a chuckle at the additional small dog area near the exit to the train station. Overall this site is lovely. Deer roam on the site along with squirrels and other wildlife. We were on the quarry side of the site but heard no noise to speak of. Neither could we hear the trains. The site is well cared for and we loved the way it’s broken up into small glades with a few pitches so that each feels quite secluded. Despite the fact that every night there was heavy rain and gales, quite terrible on the last night, we had a restful break and enjoyed this location very much.
