Good for families

Handy location for highlands

We have visited the Inverness and Nairn areas for about 40 years as we have family living in the area. Weve tried a few campsites in the general area but found Culloden the easiest to find and the most handy to see a wide variety of places in the area. Although we concentrated on Nairn, Elgin and the Strathspey area with our own knowledge we can see how handy it is for Fort William, the far north (route 500 as it is now called), Ross and Cromarty (to see those Dolphins at Chanonary point) and so much more. We agree about the sloping pitches and those with the best views seemed to have the most sloping pitches and do agree that it would be wonderful if they could be made just a little more level but the pitch we were on was no worse than many other pitches on other sites. The staff were very friendly, the site had a warm atmosphere. The B road was quite busy during the day but very quiet at night. No problems with dogs noise as someone mentioned in a previous review so I guess they might have been unlucky. This was our sort of site and I am sure it will be a regular site for us when we visit family. It was good for children (ask our 6 year old granddaughter!) and for the dogs too and even for 2 grandparents.
