Lovely site

We stayed 2 nights on this site in our motorhome. On our one full day we caught the number 5 bus, with the bus stop just up the road from the site, to Inverness. These run hourly and cost £4.30 each return journey. It took about 1/2 hour to get to centre of the city. We spent half a day in Inverness walking by the riverside, went to the castle but only the tower is open to the public at £5 each and had lunch at one of the many eateries. We caught the number 5 bus outside Morrison’s stopping off at Culloden battlefield. This is a National Trust site but if not a member it is £12 each entrance fee. There is a visitor exhibition centre and we took the tour of the battlefield for an extra £2 each. All very informative. There is a gift shop and cafe too. If you like history it is a good half day trip. You can then walk back to the site via the footpath (don’t walk on the busy roadside) all the way back to site which is about a mile away. It’s a good site if you have a car but you have to be prepared to bus/walk quite a bit if no car.
