We had to return and had a great welcome!

My Wife & I stayed at this site in October 2015 and we really enjoyed our stay, lovely countryside and lanes for cycling etc.  However, we noticed that some users of the site were less than careful when manoeuvring onto pitches, whether they were hard standing or grass, driving over the grass areas causing damage to the ground or creating ruts through wheel spins on the wet grass . Such carelessness makes any site look messy and creates extra work for site wardens!     When we returned recently in May 2016 it was evident that damaged grass areas had all been repaired and lush nicely cut grass was there for all to see. In addition the array of shrubs and plants was colourful, showing a high degree of care and attention. The large well appointed facilities block, was very clean, with freshly painted white doors.      We also came across well behaved polite young children playing games and having great time. Well done the wardens at Daleacres and the volunteers, who help make the site so splendid. Thank you, Ian

Comfortable and peaceful site

We stayed at this site for 3 nights so we could visit Port Lympne zoo which you can see and hear from the site. We managed to get on our bikes and would like to return to cycle a bit further. There is a nice pub 2 minutes cycle 10 minutes walk. The site is clean and tidy and we'll maintained.

Enjoyable

We enjoyed our stay, but the way in from your instructions can be difficult if you arrive at the wrong time when the Pub on the corner is open as cars are parked and it is a problem when trying to make the turn. Once pitched up everything is good, I like the dog walk it is very good and plenty of space.

Lovely Site

This is our third visit to Daleacre which again was peaceful and relaxing on service pitch, had no problems with road noise which includes our previous stays on service pitches. As ever site and facilities were spotless which is a credit to the wardens who were also friendly. A bit concerned seeing a warden spraying weed killer on edges of the hard standing pitches, dressed in protective overalls and mask, on the vacated pitches that were then open for use, not child, pet or wildlife friendly, left area around the hard standing unsightly Yet again site users were not adhering to the 5 mph speed limit this does seem to be a problem at all sites we visit.

A site of two halves!

This is the second time that I've stayed here. The first time I used one of the few service pitches. Road noise was a slight problem when the road behind is used for commuting.  This time I ventured over to the farside. What a difference. Although more populated with pitches, it is quieter. The sound of fellow members enjoying themselves seriously outweighs traffic noise, even as the site started to fill up for the bank holiday weekend.  The falcilities are very good and the staff friendly and hard working maintains the high standards expected from a cc site.  The grounds are well manicured, although I did witnessed a strange site, when a caravaner after choosing his pitch, then produced a electric lawn mower and recut the area where he was going to pitch his awning.  I do feel from my previous expirence of this site, that the road side could benefit from a more efficient form of screaning for the road noise issue. I wouldn't want to pay the extra for a service pitch in this area.

Roll on summer

We stayed at Daleacres from 22nd to 26th April to try out our new porch awning which we were told was fine for reasonable weather. However it rained and blew a gale all weekend which was a good test for it and it put up with it all. The site is lovely and quiet and well kempt and the dog walk is excellent. We will keep this site on our favourites list and return soon. Staff were helpful and happy. Dennis & Sue Marsh.

Great site

Thank you for a lovely short break.  The site was quiet, clean and service very good.  The showers and Loos are excellent as we have come to expect from all Caravan Club sites. We played table tennis in there recreation room, a lovely facility to provide.  Good cycle routes and walks along the Military Chanel and into Hythe. The nearby pub did a very good meal and beer, very reasonable prices and good portions, excellent friendly service and a nice place to go to.

A hidden gem

We've just spent 4 nights at Daleacres and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The wardens are friendly and the amenities first class with a top notch toilet block. With Port Lympne Wildlife Park across the road (and a few fields) the occasional roar of lions and Giraffes easily visible made for an unusual caravan break.  For the South East the local roads are so quiet. We had a relaxing bike ride to Bilsington and the superb White Horse without any traffic problems at all.  If you are going to the White Horse for a meal make sure you are hungry as the portions are massive (hopefully the management will not change soon)!  Obeying the directions to get there is critical as the surrounding roads are very narrow.  Overall we had a brilliant break.

Relaxing and Quiet site

Spent two nights here ,Very quiet and peaceful .Walked into Dymchurch across the fields from back of site onto Donkey Street then on tarmac roads arrived at Burmarsh hoping to take refreshment at the Shepherd and Crook only to find it Closed. However well worth the visit on the return journey. Food was exceptional, truly home made  and a very warm welcome.  Staff on site very helpful and facilities exceptionally well kept. If you want a quiet break look no further. ,
