wonderful week at this site

We have just returned from a wonderful week at this site, wish we could have stayed longer. When we arrived at the site we had a warm welcome. We choose pitch 104 a grass pitch which was perfect - close to the dog walking and the toilet block and it had plenty of room for us to have our own private space once the wind breakers were up. The site was clean and tidy and the grass and gardens very well kept. We have a dog and I have to say this is the best dog field we have seen on a site. The shower and toilet block is big so no waiting and kept extremely clean and its warm no matter what time of day or night you pay a visit. The wardens are friendly and work hard to keep this site as it is. It was our first time in the area and this site is ideally located to travel - we went as far as Brighton (2hrs) - Hastings (about an hour) Battle - Margate - Dover - Folkstone and may other little villages - Hythe itself is lovely we also managed to visit Lymphe Animal Park as one of our friendly caravaners looked after out dog for the afternoon. We have been caravanning for 3yrs now and this is our favourite site to date and we will certainly be going back.....................

Good all round

Arrived at site on a Saturday evening behind a breakdown truck as car broke down on M20 going for the tunnel. Great job Red Pennant. The warden Dave was great in helping to offload the van and get me to the pitch. The help from all the staff over the weekend helping with phone numbers, taxi and generally being supportive deserves a mention. I had not booked in at Daleacres but was impressed by the site. Lots of room, very clean toilet block and a well maintained site, one I would use next time in Kent. Thanks to you all

Good Site

We keep returning to this site. It is good for a weekend getaway (and for longer if needed). It takes us about 1.5 hours to travel down and we can then crash out and relax. Excellent dog walk - shame about the owners who don't feel able to clean up after their dogs. Lots of local activities within reasonable distance and walking if wanted. Wardens were excellent and welcoming and site was well maintained. We used the Sainsburys store in Hythe although there are others if wanted.

Regular visitors

We are regular visitors to daleacres (usually 3 times a year) and love it. It's a great location with loads to do locally. On arrival the wardens were very accommodating as our daughter had a broken leg. Would thoroughly recommend this site!

Our first family caravan holiday! Loved it!

Loved it! Thank you to everyone at Daleacres for making our first ever caravan holiday with our children and dogs such a roaring success! We've rebooked and plan to be regular weekenders!  We found the site team to be extremely helpful and our fellow caravanners were BRILLIANT to us newbies! What a wonderful helpful bunch you all are!  We chose a grass pitch (No. 70) tucked in the corner near the playground so we could bicker to our hearts content while erecting the awning for the first time whilst our adventurous preschoolers played happily in the playground! The site is immaculate with a superb dog walking field which is fenced and gated with mowed paths criss-crossing the field. The centrally located shower blocks and laundry facilities are spotless. Piping hot water available and good showers. The commercial washing machine only costs £4 for an enormous load and only takes 30 minutes! One Happy Mummy! The pitches are well planned and nicely maintained and spaced. The highlights for our family include our wonderful helpful and encouraging neighbours on all sides, the incredible birdsong & hearing so much nature around...foxes, pheasants and lambs! The views of Lympne Castle are a joy! Daleacres location ensured our young family was well catered for. The one way road system round the park ensures safety for all. For local outings we recommend the huge playground on The Green in Hythe as it has a zip wire and our boys loved it! I enjoyed running along the sea wall from the Martello Tower in Hythe along to Sandgate and back via the beautiful Royal Military Canal! New Romney has an amazing traditional fish and chip shop! I really recommend this well planned, relaxing and friendly site in a great location! Our very grateful thanks to Sandy and all the team! See you soon!

Excellent

This is the best site. Great for bike rides. Very flat for miles. Beautiful beach locally and the nearest pub does the best food. I come every year about 3 times a year. Love it

A Good Introduction to caravanning.

Not having caravanned in over 25 years, and with a wife who has never been before, this was a lovely relaxing time. Met by an enthusiastic warden, who explained all we needed to know. Facilities are excellent, and although there was quite a bit of coming and going, it being Easter week, we were never inconvenienced at all. Lovely and flat for cycling, and lovely beaches nearby.

Lovely week at easter

Had a lovely week here at Easter with our sons aged 3&9. Nicely laid out site with separate field for kids to play in to the dog walking one. Clean and tidy although could seem a little dark at night, however if you have a torch you'll be fine. Chip van on Wednesday night was lovely, nice food and friendly service. Only real improvement we would suggest would be to the playground. As a child friendly site it does do well, but for the amount of space around the playground there could be a swing, roundabout, mini assault course (tyres to jump on, walk the plank type thing) as well, would go back!!!

Recent visit

We found this site to be clean and well managed, friendly helpful wardens and the best dog walking field we have ever seen. The only downside was very strong winds for the latter part of our stay. Very enjoyable food at local pub, lathe barn, and the posh nosh van down towards Hythe was excellent value for money. We'll return, but will avoid school holiday times next time.

A windy weekend in Hythe

Stayed here for 2 nights in April while touring the area. First impressions were a nice clean site with a warm welcome. Had a pleasant 2 day windy stay here as it's rather exposed to sea air and very flat. Went to Hythe along the naval canal and spent a nice day there. When we were there it did seem to be a lot of younger kids running around on bikes etc, can only assume it was the Easter holidays. It could have been noisy with them charging about on a hot night but as we were in the van it didn't bother us.
