Good for families

Quiet but dated and needs investment

Friendly welcome and I couldn't fault the wardens, except for inaccurate information about which service bollards have a functioning TV booster. The site is tired. It has no toilet block, which is fine, nor childrens' play area. Good dog play area. The roads round the site are narrow and really need looking at. The pitches are close to the access road so not all pitches suitable for larger outfots - the wardens are good at keeping a larger pitch back if they are expecting a big outfit but that means those of us in smaller motorhomes have to use small pitches. The hardstandings are mostly very far from level and neeed large levelling blocks for motorhomes. WiFi only available - at cost - in the information room. Really shows the lack of investment in this site - Come on Caravan Club, this is 2020, not 1998. It's a bit of a drive to the more popular parts of the Lake District and there are no views etc on the site. A good CL is better value.
