The site is ideal for visiting Beamish, Tanfield railway, National Trust properties and beaches. Or for a stop over on the way to say Scotland The site is next to the excellent A1m so is great for travelling There is also a park and ride nearby The site does have some traffic noise but this did not cause any problems sleeping etc more of a drone in the background in the van the noise was not really noticeable. If you stayed on site all day you may find it a slight inconvenience We went out most days so no problem for us
