We've been to this site a couple of times and are planning on returning.
We booked this site for a week away in our caravan 30th Aug - 7th Sep 2014. As we have never stayed here before, we did not ask for a specific pitch, but apparently you can do this. We arrived early afternoon and were welcomed pleasantly by the staff. We were given pitch 371 in the Stable Field. Everyone we met during our stay were friendly, although I didn't have much interaction with the staff, they seems nice.
The pitch was huge and not too much on a slope, although I did see some were very uneven. The site provide plenty of breeze blocks to assist in levelling, although we didn't need any. There is a water tap at every electric hook up, which saves you a journey to get your water. The shower block and toilets were clean and I never had to queue.
The other fields seemed pretty busy for the two first days of our holiday, but this was the last weekend of the school holidays, this soon quietened down after the Monday.
There is a well stocked camping shop in the reception which isn't too badly priced, they also sell a small supply of food, although this isn't needed as there is a Morrisons, Asda and Sainsburys near by.
The site is kept very clean and there are sufficient chemical and waste water points.
There are great places to walk the dog from the site and it is ideally located for visiting Weymouth and surrounding areas.
The site bar is reasonably priced and allows dogs. They do food on selected days, there is also a fish and chip van and a pizza service on selected nights. We treated ourselves to the pizza which was delicious.
We had a great time and decided to stay an extra night which was easily accommodated.
Brilliant place and we will definitely be returning.
1. The stable field is definitely the quieter part of the site.
2. The pizza is highly recommended, although it can get quite busy and you may have to wait for it.
3. I did see that some pitches are not level, if you want a level pitch then ask when you book, I'm sure they will accommodate.
