Exmoor is what its about!

This is a lovely quiet site in a fantastically dog friendly town..... It's an easy stroll into the town with an array of lovely eateries......most of which welcome dogs. Driving from Dulverton in a variety of directions lead across beautiful countryside. (Exmoor is less bleak than Dartmoor) Many of the roads are single track with passing places and on some your maximum speed is probably going to be around 20mph!!! Worthwhile though. Tarr steps and Wimbleball reservoir are worth a visit. We also like the Porlock Hill toll road for a picnic and wortleberry picking. (Similar flavour to a bilberry) Horner woods is another nice walk. Lynton and Lynmouth are lovely places but always busy. We did find dedicated motor home parking in Lynton (on a previous visit) where it is always easier to park and use the funicular down to Lynmouth. Will definitely come back to this site. We opted for a standard pitch with no awning as that was all we required but our pitch turned out to be a very tight fit for our caravan lengthwise. Space widthways was fine. The wardens are very friendly and helpful. There's a lovely ambience on this site.
