Good for families

Very busy

We visited during a particularly hot week in July. The site was full over the weekend, which we were aware of when we made booking. A few pitches became vacant on the Monday. It was the luck of the draw if you could find a pitch with shade. Many have no shade. Some pitches have no grass division at all between them and back right up to the wall. The site is very well maintained and the wardens (Keith and Debbie) are amazing, friendly and very helpful. They have knowledge about walks and the local area in general. They do a great job. The are local walks from the site, especially along the river. The village of Dulverton is only a 5 minute walk away with a good variety of local shops, mostly independent, Thai restaurant, fish and chip shop and pubs. NT properties such as Knightshayes and Killerton can be visited if you wish to travel a little further or you could go north to Porlock and west along the coast.
