First four nights of Campervanning!

Our first four nights on a Caravan Club site. The facilities are good and typical if the Club. Good aspects were the helpful and friendly warden, the quiet site (even with a number of families on site), the local pub an easy walk away and serving top real ales and food and the nearby Hastings, Pett Level, Rye Harbour etc. We hadn't realised that between the site and Hastings was a 500ft sea cliff so cycling was a challenge but the nature reserve there is a treasure as is the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Would return as there was lots more to explore.

Loved this site !

Stayed here for 8 nights in July , had perfect weather . Great for dog walking and visiting the two sawers pub lovely food and dog friendly . We did eat at the Royal Oak too but didn't enjoy it there .  Visited so many lovely places from this site . Would definitely return in future .

Lovely Weekend

This is a very pleasant small site in a beautiful village set in woodlands. We loved seeing all the different dogs on-site. The warden was very helpful when a neighbour's dog was constantly barking and the owner did not see this as a problem. There is a lovely walk to the local pub and there is a bus service nearby into Hastings. Watermill Lane is quite narrow and if you meet a car at the narrow points then someone has to reverse, sometimes in to the main road. It is definitely a site that we would consider revisiting.

Rural Idyll

Quiet - compact but perfectly balanced location, with well marked / maintained pathway through woods to 'Two Sawyers' pub which does excellent meals / serves good beer and has a wealth of charm / as well as pleasant customers who don't mind non-locals using their inn. TV and radio reception can be 'iffy' (we didn't have a booster cable) but pleasant evenings still spent reading / watching DVDs etc., Wardens very helpful as to local buses / locations of shops outside of the village and went out of their way to make sure all were happy with their stay - Many thanks!

A very relaxing site

we have just come back from spending a lovely 9 nights at this site. The site is very quiet and is perfect for dog owners with over 100 acres of woodland paths just across the road from the entrance.10 minutes through the woods at the bottom of the site takes you to a lovely pub serving a selection of beers and good food. The area is really beautiful and only 10 minutes to the coast.plenty of supermarkets in Hastings.this was our first time in the area but we will definately return. The weather was fantastic which was a bonus.the only negative is the access road to the site which is quite narrow but ok if you don't meet anything big whilst caravan on back but generally not an issue

One to keep returning to

We had a lovely relaxing time. Great pub food just 10 minutes through the wood. Hastings Pier is fun with lots to see and do. Thanks to the relief staff Jean & Ian, we'll be back.

Wonderful place

Just come back from this site. We had a great time, the wardens are friendly, it's in a quiet place with woods around which are great for dog walking. There is a nice pub a short walk away. The weather helped! It was our first trip here and we will certainly come again. It's an easy drive to the beach, it's lovely

One of the best

Fantastic site with woods all around very dog friendly. The wardens are so helpful and friendly, very quite site all of the time, only a short walk through the woods to a lovely pub, you will very happy with the food and service, we could only get booked in for 5 days would have loved to have stayed longer, there are some fantastic places to discover along that coast. If you don't mind a short drive head for Camber Sands great for children, if you are a dog owner when the tide is out you have super beaches to walk, don't park in the very expensive car parks, head down to the kitesurfing club there is a big free car park just past it. This is the second time we have stayed at this site. Lovely surroundings. Very helpful and pleasant wardens, who helped to extend our stay. We'll be back!
