The people are very friendly and the site is spotless and secure. Good proximity to town yet it feels close to nature with the loch. Direction signs not very good.
April visit
Lovely site, close to the town and obviously the country park. Warm welcome from the wardens with a lovely friendly feel to the site. Facilities very well maintained. Pity about the weather as it became cold and tried to snow on several occasions, but that was well outside the Club's control!
Affects of the travelling people
We have been to Lochside Caravan Park several times and usually enjoy our visits. The park is well maintained and the wardens are helpful.
Sadly for the second time we had to cut our visit short due to the arrival of the travelling people in the adjoining park. This will deter us from returning.

Our first caravanning trip!
Having just bought a caravan for the very first time, this site was our first trip out with it....and the whole experience exceeded our expectations! We got a very warm welcome on arrival and made to feel that none of our questions were silly. Spotlessly clean and peaceful....what more can you ask! Lovely evening meal at the Chapelbank Hotel on the first night and traditional Forfar Bridies the next night....bliss! Looking forward to further visits.
Lovely Site
We had a lovely stay just before Easter. The site was very quiet when we were there but is very popular judging by the caravans arriving as we left. The facilities are excellent. The wardens keep the site clean and the toilet block and washing up area are spotless.
The nearby loch is great for dog walking and bird watching and if you have kids there is a super playground just outside the site. Forfar is just a 5 minute walk away with a variety of shops and places to eat.
A very enjoyable stay.

A fabulous stay
We have just left after a fabulous four night stay. We had a lovely relaxed stay. The wardens were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They work very hard to keep the site clean, and it is super clean! Toilet blocks and food prep area spotless, bin areas emptied and checked on a regular basis and stones always swept back onto pitches. The local shops and restaurants are a very short walk away and the loch is just beautiful. We walked it twice during our stay. Lovely and peaceful. There is also a leasure centre and a huge park for children right next door to the site. The site is also handy for visiting further up into scotland too. We went to Fort William, Ben Nevis and Aviemore. We were not disturbed by any road noise or other nois during our stay and we found the ducks amusing to watch. Also our awning blew out of the caravan holding strip and a lovely couple came running across to help us followed by another very kind lady. A huge thanks to them. To conclude a very welcoming, clean and friendly site. We look forward to a return visit.

Happy sunny stay
As on our previous visits to Forfar, a lovely 4 day stay, and even the sun shone for us. We cannot fault Forfar Loch site, it is such a joy. The wardens are so friendly and always willing to give what help you, if it be needed. The site has easy access, the toilet lock is of very standard and kept clean and tidy. A short walk to all the shops. We will return.
Three day break
I found the site easy to locate just out side the town it's an easy five minute walk to the shops and restaurants the site it's self was immaculate with a very hard-working staff who had time to speak to everyone the service sites were on the ball on the down side was the road noise all towns have it but this was of set by the walks around the town and the loch right on your doorstep if you want a good Sunday lunch try the stag hotel out standing roast and the staff are very nice !
Enjoyed the site - once we found it!!
May just be my sat nag but the post code took us beyond the entrance which was not really marked - follow signs for leisure centre!
Nice site well laid out, try to avoid pitches beside tall trees as these block the sun for good part of day - having said that great facilities - very close to town centre and shops, tourist attractions - as another report suggest toilets do close for a good while compared to other sites - though restricted facilities round corner.
- Simple question for sites - would you go back and we definitely will
