Wonderful stay

We last stayed here about nine years ago, we loved it then and still do.  Nerys and John keep their site beautifully clean and are so friendly and welcoming. There is a play area for children surrounded by a high hedge and well away from the caravans and motor homes so no danger from straying footballs. There's also a dedicated dog walk. Corwen is a nice friendly little town with Llangollen and Betwys-y-Coed within easy reach. The Pontysiliac aqueduct is a must do, as is Plas Newydd in Llangollen where the "Ladies" lived. Whilst the shower block remains unchanged it is kept beautifully clean and does the job. Oh yes, there's also a guard on duty 24/7 in the form of  dragon, carved from the Bole of an old tree. Don't worry, he looks friendly. We're looking forward to a return visit next year.  There's so much we didn't get to see and do.

Hidden Gem

9.5/10 What a beautiful site, quiet, sheltered, and a great base for exploring. This site would get 10/10, except for two very minor issues. They neighbour a venue which has weekend parties wedding etc, and the music can carry on the wind on weekends. It didn't stop me sleeping but, it did my family who are light sleepers. The second minor point is you need to dance about a bit under the showers which have very light flow the site is quite high up with amazing views and being on a high side effects the water pressure I have no doubt. Besides these two points it is a perfect location with very friendly owners that can't do enough for you. We will return again as we really enjoyed our stay.

We'll be back

Just had a week there, the wardens are excellent, able to sight your van where you like, site is nowhere near a main road, minor point heard the music twice, nothing really for children on site.

Wow!

Just got back from a 5 night stay and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There was a warm Welsh welcome for us and the wardens were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us out when we had a few minor troubles with our caravan! It made a nice change to be on grass and we were extremely lucky with the weather. The boys loved being able to bike around the lane and you could watch them from the caravan as the site is lovely and compact. They soon made new friends. They also loved using the play area with their football. We will definitely be going back.

Secluded little gem

Super site beautifully maintained by Nerys and Johnny. Warm welcome on arrival and lots of advice on places to visit in the area e.g. The climb up Mount Snowdon. Nerys even arranged that the Red Arrows would do a fly past for us. Would recommend this site without hesitation.

Great Site

We only stayed 2 nights here on our tour of Wales, but wished we had booked a few more. This is a great site with lovely views. The Wardens are very friendly  and  helpful assisting people on and off their pitch if needed. Facilities were spotless. The Rhug Farm Shop close by is well worth  a visit. We especially  enjoyed their sausage rolls.

Nice and Quiet

We booked this site at the last minute on Saturday 9/07/16 as we were coming to Wales for our holiday we left a message on their answer machine as it was late. On Sunday morning Mrs Jones the warden called us to say she had availability so we were able to start our holiday 1 day early as we were going to travel over night on Sunday and stop in a layby or services. So off we travelled to Wales we found the site but the drive up to the site via a small lane was a bit tight for our twin axle van. The pitches are all grass so and sloping but we managed to get on a fairly flat section. The shower block could do with some upgrading it must get rather busy when full. Nice quiet site. We were only there for the 1 night but it was worth it, a good stop over point before we set off the next morning to our other little CL Site. Next to the site entrance is a farm shop. Nice little site but I think it would be difficult to get off the pitch if there was heavy rain as it is grass but not if you have a 4x4. Just take a look.

Fabulous site

What a fabulous site,so peaceful,so clean, lovely owners,so helpful. The drive up to the site via a small lane was a bit scary. The pitches are sloping but no trouble. It was very windy when we arrived & we were on the top of the site (our choice) so putting up the awning took a little longer but the views we had made up for that.We had cows in the field next to us,loads of rabbits to watch, this site is so peaceful, it's hard to actually put it in words. Our dogs had a great time & the walks everyday up the lane exciting, pheasants, squirrels & rabbits to watch. The site is spotless & nothing too much trouble for the owners, you will be met everyday with cheery smiles! To sum it up,it rained every day, horendous wind but we still had a fabulous week & will definately be returning.

Little Gem of a site

What a pleasing change to find a site on the club network were the wardens are so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, they have all the means to make sure your van is level on the sloping pitches. The views from all pitches are fantastic and the area a must to visit, lots to do whatever the weather. We will be back.
