Two week Chillax close to the beech...

Originally booked to go to North Cornwall near Tintagel but had to rebook due to unforseen circumstances, really glad to have booked Godrevy Park instead. I had some issue booking the full two week stay but it got sorted with the helpful warden. This site is a must for lovers of beeches and dare I say pasties..you can walk along the beech to Hayle, it is a trek but worth the trip to Philps in Hayle.. Site facilities are great and the outside washing area for BBqs is well thought out. The scenery when you get to the beech is some of the best to see around...I recommend a trip to Carbis Bay (park near Rail Station) and walk to St Ives on the public footpath close to Carbis Bay Hotel, it's a little hilly but worth the views...oh and you must go to the Harbour Restaurant, had a great Fish and Chips sit down meal.... Will be rebooking for 2020 for sure..Oh and If I haven't mentioned pasties enough, it is worth buying pre baked pasties when you travel home, great for the freezer and those long lasting memories of Cornwall. Great site....must say the Wardens were friendly and worked so damn hard...

Good old Philps. They can be bought on line for those folk who suffer withdrawal symptoms and can’t wait to return next summer.

Hi, glad you had such a great time and what a pleasure to read such a positive, helpful review.

You can also get into St Ives using the train from St Erth, with its now greatly increased in size car park.

Whilst on a rally at Pentewan last month 4 of us traveled from St Austell to St Ives for £27 so can be good value as well as very scenic.

One of our family traditions is to get fish and chips from Becks and eat them on the beach at Carbis Bay so that's an option after your walk next time.

You could also perhaps try the restaurant at Una in Carbis Bay which does very yummy food especially the pizzas from the wood fired oven.

After that feeling a bit peckish!
